THE BTA STORY
Bali Tennis Academy is still a very young company and already it has achieved many accomplishments not only to recognize them as the CENTER OF TENNIS IN BALI but also as a company and a place where everyone will surely enjoy their time on the tennis courts and feel right at home with its easy going atmosphere and staff.
But how did BTA actually come to life? How did this simple idea turn into a successful contribution to the sports and leisure industry on the island? Well, believe it or not, it all started one Saturday afternoon at one of the Seminyak tennis courts when its 2 founders (Julio and Jordan) were playing tennis. Upon finishing their game while relaxing at the court “Bale” watching the other players enjoy their games on the court, Julio came up with the MAGIC QUESTION…. Why don’t we start a tennis club or company that can get the tennis in Bali EXCITED once again? Jordan at first thought that Julio was just making conversation but thought the idea, sounding simple yet complicating, was actually not a bad concept.
Hard work began on putting all the ideas into paper: Long hours in front of the computer, endless meetings, ideas bouncing back and forth, opinions changing, and after all the hard work, a proposal finally came to life, the BALI TENNIS ACADEMY, or as everyone knows us, the BTA.
But like in any business start ups, having a “GOOD PRODUCT” on paper is just one thing, selling it would be another challenge. And this challenge of course was to sell BTA to a property or location where it can call home. A few hit and miss and a lot of frustrations after, BTA finally found a home at the 3 indoor tennis facility of the Nikko Bali Resort & Spa located in Nusa Dua, Bali. The rest as they say was history.
This casual conversation between two friends on the court became a dream that then turned into a MISSION: A mission to create a tennis club, company or school where players can come and enjoy tennis games, learn and upgrade their tennis levels, have activities, events and tournaments and basically be the CENTER OF TENNIS IN BALI. And thanks to everyone’s support and contribution, BTA is alive and strong to keep the tennis on the island active and FUN.. |
